The HCL Cyclothon is gearing up for its first-ever Bengaluru edition on February 8, 2026, it’s bringing one of India’s biggest road cycling events to the iconic NICE Road stretch. And Organized by the HCL Group along with the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), this event comes with an impressive ₹30 lakh prize pool and aims to inspire competitive spirit, community involvement, and a healthier lifestyle. After successful editions in Noida, Chennai, and Hyderabad, where more than 15,000 cyclists from 25 states took part, the Bengaluru chapter is expected to raise the bar even higher. With top-tier race certification, strong safety measures, and expert technical guidance from CFI, the city’s debut Cyclothon promises a truly world-class cycling experience.
It is basically categories in three manners –
The event offers something for every kind of cyclist – from pros to casual riders. The Professional Category is open only to CFI-licensed athletes (18-35 years) who will battle it out in a fast-paced 50 km road race with team and individual prize rewards. The Amateur Category welcomes everyday cyclists with a 50 km road race and a 32 km MTB challenge, divided into fair age groups so riders from 18 to 50+ can compete comfortably. For those who simply want to enjoy the experience, the Green Ride offers a relaxed 16 km, non-competitive route for participants aged 16 and above. With growing interest in fitness, eco-friendly commuting and weekend cycling culture, the event is expected to bring together thousands of riders, create a stronger cycling community, and highlight Bengaluru’s evolving enthusiasm for endurance sports.
