India won 10 medals on the day one of Asian Track Cycling Championship being held in New Delhi

India, the host of the Asian Track Cycling Championship started the championship with flying colours with 10 medals on day one, including a gold.

On the first day of the 41st Senior, 28th Junior Asian Track and 10th Para Track Cycling Championship, 12 finals were held. In these India won 1 silver, 6 bronze in senior and junior event categories; and one gold and one bronze in the para category.

The day started well with a silver medal won by the junior women’s team in the 4Km team pursuit.

We congratulate all Indian team members on their respective wins.

Junior Women’s 4Km team pursuit- Pooja Dhanole, Himanshi Singh, Reet Kapoor and Jasmeek Kaur Sekhon

Senior women’s 4k team pursuit- Rejiye Kh Devi, Chayanika Gogoi, Meenakshi And Monika jat

Junior Men’s 4km team pursuit event- Niraj Kumar, Birjit Yumnam, Aashirwad Saxena and Gurnoor Poonia

Women’s senior team sprint event- Trishya Paul, Shushikala Agashe and Mayuri Lute

Elite men’s team sprint event- David Beckham, Ronaldo Singh and Rojit Singh won the bronze with a timing of 44.627s.
